As the first "plus" bike on the market, the Krampus changed the way many people thought about trail riding. It showed people how high-volume, large diameter tires could greatly improve the riding experience. It also did a great job of debunking the myth that big tires make you slow.
The Krampus is sort of the opposite of a mullet: long in the front and short in the back. With a long top tube and compact chainstays, it takes trail shredding skills to the next level. A mullet may be business in the front and party in the back, but the Krampus makes partying his business.
