Not willing to make any sort of compromise was causing us to develop the Urban Pedal. The core of Schindelhauer philosophy is to combine premium design with high technical usability. We would like you to see this not only in our frames, but also in our components and accessories.
The Urban Pedal lives up to a daily commuter’s high demands. The flat profile with an even contact patch always ensures a safe stand. Be it your sneakers or leather dress shoes - a special slip-free, durable, long-lasting grip tape by quality supplier 3M always guarantees a firm foothold for nearly any kind of sole. With only 300g for the pair, the pedals are also remarkably light. The break-outs in length for our pedal straps and the cut-outs in the aluminium case are milled in a sophisticated CNC procedure. We also combined a sealed industrial bearing with a plain bearing to make the pedal as flat and light as possible. The elegant transition towards the crank is almost unnoticeable, thanks to the absence of the usual wrench-width.
Despite the low height of the pedal, the use of Schindelhauer pedal hooks and reflectors is no problem. Third-party straps may also be mounted.
