Meet the latest GXR, aka Kevin
One of the first gravel-specific bikes to be sold on the mass market, the Curve GXR model has been around since gravel became cool. With increased tire clearance, improved mounting options and UDH compatibility, the latest version of our Swiss Army knife of bikes is more versatile than ever and has years of adventure cycling experience in its DNA.
Maximum versatility
The GXR was designed with gravel cycling versatility in mind. While the GXR's geometry is optimized for 700c x 44mm tires, you can run up to 50mm wide tires on 700c wheels. In 700c mode with narrower tire options, Kevin is ready for fast gravel missions, but you'll be surprised at how capable Kevin is on rough terrain with a 50mm tire. With 650b (27.5") wheels, you can move into gravel-plus territory with 2.2" tires that offer plenty of comfort for the toughest gravel adventures.
Ready for Adventure
The Ride 415 VGM fork has taken load carrying to the next level, with an 8kg rating on each fork leg. That gives a total load capacity of 16kg. With three cleverly designed mounts on each fork leg, the Ride 415 VGM fork can accommodate anything from extra water bottles, Rocket Pooches, or other micro or fork-specific bags. Kevin can easily be fitted with a 2x drivetrain. With SRAM UDH compatible dropouts, Kevin is able to handle the widest range of group options available today.
More mounting points
The Curve Kevin is equipped with rack mounts, mudguard mounts, 3 x bidon mounts and "bento mounts" on the top tube. With additional tire clearance and a comparatively long wheelbase for the gravel genre, providing a more stable platform, Kevin is ready for epic day trips or multi-day bikepacking adventures, not just gentle gravel cruising. There is plenty of room for bikepacking bags on all frame sizes.
- Frame: Curve Titanium GXR4 - also known as Kevin. At the heart of each frame is an aerospace-grade 3Al - 2.5V Grade 9 titanium tubeset. This grade is optimal for bicycle frames and is chosen for its balanced stiffness, flexibility and durability.
- Fork: Curve Ride 415 VGM carbon fork
- Headset: Curve Integrated 42/52 mm semi-internal
- Seat clamp: Curve alloy 31.8 mm
- Other: Curve Cocky Headbadge, 12 mm front and rear axles, spare SRAM UDH derailleur hanger
