Don't want to go through the time-consuming process of waxing a chain?
We offer you the possibility to purchase hot waxed chains with "Silca - Secret Chain Blend", which we degrease in three steps using an ultrasonic cleaner and then treat with "Silca" hot wax.
All chains are supplied with a 120 ml bottle of "Silca - Super Secret Chain Lube" to treat the chain.
According to "Silca", chains treated in this way are 20% "faster", or more efficient.
Those who are willing to make a change when it comes to chain maintenace can expect a continuously clean drive-train, which is also increased in its durability.
Note the drying time of the cold wax ("Silca - "Super Secret Chain Coating") during aftercare.
The chain care should therefore be operated after the ride and not shortly before.

According to our experience, a cold wax ("Silca - Super Secret Chain Coating") application is needed about every +-200 km when riding in dry conditions, on tarmac.
Off-road in dry conditions after about 120 km, and in wet, muddy conditions simply after each ride.
In addition, we recommend the insertion of the chain in "Silca - Super Secret Chain Coating" in the 350ml container every 800-1000 km. (not included in the price!)
A hot wax treatment every 1500-2000 km is an advantage, but not a must!
This is a service we are happy to provide for you, for already hot waxed chains, for 15 €.
But you can also easily do it at home with the "Secret Chain Blend" supplied in a sous-vide bag.
Please make sure that your drivetrain (chainrings, cassette & rear derailleur pulleys) and the inside of the guide plates of your front derailleur, are completely free of grease or any lubricant, before mounting the new waxed chain.
